After reportedly leading Christian County Sheriff’s Office deputies on a pursuit, 22-year-old Mike Sagueton was arrested for speeding and evading law enforcement on Sunday.
According to a report, a deputy observed a red Mustang speeding on the Pennyrile Parkway. The vehicle was reportedly clocked at 120 MPH in a 70-MPH zone and reached speeds of up to 134 MPH.
The deputy initiated a pursuit and the Mustang reportedly fled northbound on the parkway weaving through traffic until reaching the Hopkins County line where it came to a stop. Deputies made contact with Sagueton and he reportedly said he saw the deputy cruiser but was unsure if it was a law enforcement vehicle and also claimed he did not see the cruiser’s lights or hear the siren.
Sagueton was charged with speeding 26 MPH or greater over the speed limit, reckless driving and first-degree fleeing or evading police.
