Hopkinsville man charged with kidnapping of an adult

A Hopkinsville man has been arrested after he allegedly held a woman against her will Wednesday at the Little River Motel.

According to the report from the Hopkinsville Police Department, officers responded to the motel around 10 a.m. for reports of a possible kidnapping of an adult. Upon arrival, contact was made with the female victim, who reported that 47-year-old William Spain of Hopkinsville allegedly grabbed her and pulled her into his room.

He then allegedly duct taped the victim’s mouth shut, along with her hands and feet—he then held her against her will for nearly 12 hours before ultimately releasing her.

Spain reportedly admitted to duct taping the victim and holding her against her will.

He was arrested and charged with kidnapping an adult and lodged in the Christian County Jail.
