Kentucky State Police are investigating a fatal crash that happened in Barren County Thursday afternoon.
According to a news release, the three-vehicle collision happened around 3:30 p.m. in the 6000 block of North Jackson Highway and preliminary investigations revealed that a vehicle operated by 20-year-old Rylee Gibbons of Glasgow was heading north when it crossed the center line. It collided with a vehicle driven by 58-year-old Jennifer Hishmeh of Glasgow.
A third vehicle, operated by 32-year-old Mania Johnson of Glasgow, then collided with Hishmeh’s vehicle.
Hishmeh’s passenger, 80-year-old Alveda Jessie of Cave City, was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Barren County Coroner’s Office.
The others were transported to a local hospital for treatment of injuries.
