Two hurt in Parkway crash involving deer

Two Madisonville residents were injured in a crash involving a deer on the Pennyrile Parkway early Tuesday morning.

According to the Christian County Sheriff’s Department, it happened near the 13-mile-marker in the southbound lanes, when a deer reportedly entered the path of a vehicle driven by 32-year-old Jordan Givens of Madisonville, who was unable to avoid a collision. 

Givens and a passenger, 33-year-old Krisina Givens of Madisonville, were transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment of injuries, according to the collision report.
