Six injured in Madisonville multi-vehicle crash

Six people were injured in a three-vehicle crash in Hopkins County on Christmas Eve.

According to the Madisonville Police Department, a vehicle driven by 18-year-old Alyssa Webster of Fort Campbell was attempting to make a left turn from Rose Creek Road onto Nebo Road as a vehicle driven by 63-year-old Phillip Waddell of Wheatcroft was heading south on Nebo.

Webster reportedly failed to yield and pulled out, with the two-colliding head-on. The collision sent Waddell’s vehicle into another driven by 45-year-old Susan Hibbs of Madisonville that was stopped on Nebo Road waiting to turn onto Rose Creek Road.

That in turn sent that vehicle into another that was sitting behind, sending that automobile into a fifth vehicle that was stopped behind it. Four of the five vehicles involved had to be towed from the scene due to the severity of damages.

Six people in total were sent to Baptist Health Deaconess Hospital for treatment of injuries.
