Man charged with assault of mother, law enforcement

A Hopkinsville man is facing assault charges after he allegedly hit his mother and kicked officers Monday afternoon. 

According to the Hopkinsville police report, officers responded to the 300 block of Charlie Court where 33-year-old William Krul allegedly assaulted his mother by hitting her repeatedly in the face with his hands, causing minor injuries. 

While officers were on scene, he reportedly tried to get to the victim multiple times, and when officer tried to remove him from the residence, Krul allegedly kicked both officers multiple times.

He was charged with fourth-degree assault, third-degree assault of an officer, resisting arrest and second-degree disorderly conduct.
