In an outstanding display of skill and determination, the Christian County wrestling team delivered an impressive performance at the recent CC Scramble tournament. The squad showcased their prowess on the mat, securing victories and leaving an indelible mark on the competition.
At 106 pounds, Elijah Cooper demonstrated resilience, finishing with a commendable 4-1 record. Anthony Velasco showcased his unbeatable spirit with a flawless 4-0 at 113 pounds, while teammates Nathan Harrison and Kevondre Young made their mark with 3-1 records.
Holden Schneider stood tall at 126 pounds, achieving a perfect 3-0 record. The 132-pound category saw an outstanding performance by Dane Miller, who dominated with an undefeated 5-0 record. Notably, Haydon Merrick and Tay Martinez exhibited their skills at 138 and 144 pounds, respectively, securing victories for the team.
In the 150-pound category, Ryan Hines and Joshua Cohoon displayed tenacity with records of 3-1 and 4-0, respectively. The momentum continued with Zach Eads at 157 pounds, who emerged triumphant with an impeccable 5-0 record.
The team’s dedication was evident across various weight classes, with standout performances by Isaiah Davidson (190 pounds), Xavier Reid (285 pounds), and Xaveiyon Reid (285 pounds).
