The Madisonville Police Department has charged a man with numerous charges following a pursuit Saturday night.
According to a police report, officers responded to Main Street for reports of a vehicle that was all over the roadway and reported going through yards, causing damage to several properties and items. Upon arrival, officers located a vehicle driving recklessly and initiated a traffic stop, but the vehicle allegedly failed to stop.
It reportedly crossed the center line numerous time, weaving in and out of the line of travel, regardless of oncoming traffic and passing vehicles in an unsafe manner.
The pursuit was eventually brought to an end through the use of spike strips from Kentucky State Police and the driver, Paul Durban, was taken into custody.
He is charged with first-degree fleeing or evading police, two counts of criminal mischief, leaving the scene of an accident with failure to render air, speeding, reckless driving and several traffic violations.
