The Hopkinsville Beautification Division of Public Works is inviting the community to compete in their Holiday Decoration Contest to stir up some holiday spirit in the community.
The competition has two separate categories for private homes and businesses. In each of the 12 Hopkinsville city wards one home will be awarded for their decorations and one business will be awarded for their decorations according to a news release from Public Works.
A home or business can enter into the competition or be nominated by calling public works at 270-890-0703 or can enter at the Hopkinsville Beautification Facebook page. The deadline for entries is 3:30 p.m. on December 15 and winners will be announced on the organization’s Facebook on December 20.
The winners will receive a certificate of recognition and will be featured on the Hopkinsville Beautification Facebook page and the city website at hopkinsvilleky.us.
