The Christian County Literacy Council is accepting applications now for their Beverly Whitfield Memorial Scholarship.
The scholarship is in memory of longtime Executive Director Beverly Whitfield, who passed away unexpectedly in 2019 and current Executive Director Francene Gilmer says this is one of the ways they keep her legacy of learning and love of ready alive in the community, with applications for the scholarship open until December 1.
All that is required is the applicant be registered for college courses in the spring.
