The Logan County Sheriff’s Department investigated after a Tennessee man was killed in a collision near the intersection of Friendship Road and Franklin Road Saturday.
It happened around 10:45 a.m. Saturday, according to a news release, and deputies discovered two vehicles off the roadway with severe damage upon arrival. The occupants had to be extricated from their vehicles.
Investigation determined that Darcy Fournier of Cross Plains, Tennessee was heading east when a vehicle driven by Roger Carroll of Portland, Tennessee reportedly crossed the center line and the two collided head-on.
Fournier was pronounced deceased at the scene, while Carroll was flown to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville for treatment of injuries.
Alcohol is listed as a possible factor in the crash and the investigation continues.
