Two injured in Boulevard crash involving HPD officer

Two people were injured in a crash on Fort Campbell Boulevard near Buffalo Wild Wings Wednesday night, including a Hopkinsville police officer.

According to the report from Hopkinsville police, 33-year-old Officer Charles Wiggington was driving a police cruiser down Fort Campbell Boulevard around 9 p.m., responding with lights and sirens activated to a pursuit that was currently in progress.

A vehicle operated by 36-year-old Jessica Creamer of Hopkinsville reportedly pulled out of the Exxon parking lot and into Officer Wiggington’s path, and the two collided. City cameras located at the intersection of Skyline Drive reportedly captured the collision.

Both Wiggington and Creamer were transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center—the investigation into the crash continues, with the report stating Creamer allegedly consumed alcoholic beverages before the crash.
