One hurt, building damaged in Murray collision

One person was injured in a two-vehicle crash in Murray that also damaged a business on Main Street on October 6.

According to the Murray Police Department, a vehicle operated by 69-year-old James Gilson of Murray was in the 500 block of Main Street around 8:30 a.m. when he accidentally accelerated, striking another vehicle.  The collision caused Gilson’s vehicle to then strike and partially enter A Good Thing Consignment.

A passenger in Gilson’s vehicle was transported to the Murray-Calloway County Hospital for treatment of injuries.

The Murray Police Department was assisted on scene by the Murray Fire Department and the Murray Calloway County Ambulance Service.
