Tonight, after a week off The Hopkinsville Tigers are back in action at home hosting The Logan Co. Cougars. The Cougars were also off last week and enter tonight’s contest with a record of 5 and 2 on the season and 2 and 1 in the district. The Tigers won their first game of the season two weeks ago with a 43-0 win over Calloway Co. The Tigers are 1 and 6 on the season and 1 and 2 in the district. This will be the 14th meeting between the two schools with Logan Co. now leading the series 7 to 6. The Cougars have won the last four meetings. If the playoffs started tonight The Tigers would be a four seed while The Cougars would be a three seed. Paducah Tilghman and Warren East are tied for first. All six teams in the district have two district games remaining so there’s still a lot to be determined. According to the RPI rankings The Tigers are a 17-point underdog to The Cougars.
