Driver safely escapes after vehicle goes into pond on Pilot Rock Road

Multiple agencies responded to a wreck on Pilot Rock Road where the vehicle went into a pond, and the driver was able to safely escape.

Speaking with WHOP News, Christian County Emergency Management Director Randy Graham says the 17-year-old driver lost control of the vehicle, which caused it go into a pond—she was able to get out of the vehicle and get on top of it, and then call 911.

By the time first responders arrived, she was able to safely make her way to the bank. Graham says she did refuse transport by EMS, though she was assessed at the scene.

The Christian County Rescue Squad, Honey Grove Fire Department and the Christian County Sheriff’s Department responded to the scene.
