A Hopkinsville man is facing a drug trafficking charge following an incident on Henderson Drive last Friday.
According to a news release from the Christian County Sheriff’s Department, deputies responded to a location on Henderson Drive in an attempt to locate 27-year-old Joseph Weatherford to assist Probation and Parole. Weatherford was reportedly sitting in a truck in the driveway of a residence in the 400 block of Henderson.
Weatherford then stepped out of the truck and allegedly tried to put something in the bed of the vehicle. A search of the vehicle reportedly revealed bags of methamphetamine and 41 Xanax pills.
Weatherford was taken into custody and charged with trafficking in a controlled substance.
