Two injured in Pembroke Road collision

Two people were injured in a crash involving a tractor-trailer on Pembroke Road Monday.

According to the Hopkinsville police report, a tractor-trailer operated by 54-year-old Scott Cheuvront of Indiana was attempting to go across Pembroke Road to get onto Bradshaw Pike, and pulled into the path of a vehicle heading northbound on Pembroke Road.

The driver of that vehicle, 39-year-old Destarra Harris of Hopkinsville, told officers she hit the brakes to try and avoid a collision, but was unable to and the two collided.

Harris and a passenger in the vehicle, 32-year-old Darius Clark of Hopkinsville, were transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment of injuries.

Cheuvront was not injured. Everyone involved was wearing a seatbelt.
