Pedestrian injured in Pyle Lane collision

The Hopkinsville Police Department is investigating after a man was struck by a vehicle on Pyle Lane Friday night.

According to the police report, a vehicle operated by 66-year-old Patricia Wills of Hopkinsville was heading south on Pyle Lane when 19-year-old Caleb McLean of Hopkinsville entered the roadway, and she was unable to avoid a collision. 

McLean was located later at Jennie Stuart Medical Center, where he told officers he attempted to cross Pyle Lane after leaving Food Lion, realized he didn’t have time to safely cross and tried to turn around to go back, but was unable to move in time.

He was treated at Jennie Stuart for multiple injuries.  Wills was not injured in the incident.
