HPD serves 24 arrest warrants in collaborative operation

The Hopkinsville Police Department partnered with the Division of Probation and Parole to conduct a sweep of the community and arrest people with active warrants.

According to a news release, the intensive operation took place Wednesday and 24 arrest warrants were served, which including some violent offenses, such as first-degree robbery. Officials say there is a distinct correlation between those wanted for criminal offenses and new crimes being committed before they are located.

The collaboration worked to get those wanted on warrants off the streets in an effort to make the community a safer place.
