A Christian County Grand Jury has returned multiple indictments, including for assault, rape, burglary and more.
Indicted for second-degree rape against a victim who is mentally incapacitated, first-degree criminal abuse, first-degree sodomy and fourth-degree assault is 50-year-old Rafe Kuzins of Oak Grove. Kuzins was arrested following investigation by the Christian County Sheriff’s Department and is lodged in the Christian County Jail on a $1 million bond.
Two Pembroke residents have been indicted in connection with an incident that occurred on August 29 on South Wooldridge Road in Hopkinsville. Thirty-year-old Dale Schultz is indicted for first-degree burglary, first-degree strangulation, third-degree terroristic threatening and third-degree criminal mischief while 32-year-old William Webster was indicted for first-degree burglary, two counts of third-degree criminal mischief, two counts of third-degree assault of an officer, resisting arrest and third-degree attempted escape.
They are accused of entering a residence unlawfully and while inside, Schultz is alleged to have strangled a female victim by pushing her against a wall and wrapping his hands around her throat after he reportedly kicked in the back door. He also allegedly threatened the victims earlier in the day on the phone and said he would kill someone if they intervened.
Webster reportedly did not enter the residence until he heard shouting, which is when he allegedly went inside and took a baseball bat away from one of the residents. While being taken into custody, he reportedly struggled with officers, of which they reported scrapes from the scuffle.
Indicted for first-degree burglary and second-degree assault is 23-year-old Wannye Boone of Clarksville, who is accused of unlawfully entering a residence in August and assaulting the female victim inside. Medical officials believe one of the victim’s fingers were broken in the assault.
