Local veterans honor those impacted by the September 11 attacks

Red, white and blue balloons colored the sky at Monday’s September 11 Patriots Day Service where military veterans, service members and those from the community recognized the 22 years since the 9/11 attacks and honored the lives of those affected by them.

The Service was hosted at the Veterans of Foreign War 1913 post and led by Post Commander John Brame who not only took time to recognize the lives claimed in the attacks, but the lives who were impacted and are still being impacted by what happened 22 years ago.

Along with remembering the lives lost on 9/11, Brame says it’s also important to remember the fateful day, because a similar attack could take place anywhere in the country.

The service concluded with attendees releasing their balloons.
