The Kentucky Department of Agriculture awarded Pennyroyal Community Mental Health Center with a grant to support the mental health and well-being of farm families.
The grant was awarded as a part of the Department’s Raising Hope Kentucky initiative which works toward sharing information regarding mental health resources and destigmatizing mental health issues among the farming community. The grant-funded initiative is a partnership between multiple government departments, healthcare agencies and college organizations.
The Department of Agriculture awarded $450,000 worth of grants to five organizations in Kentucky and Pennyroyal Community Mental Health Center was one of them.
The Mental Health Center was chosen as a recipient for funding to support the National Suicide Hotline according the Department of Agriculture.
