A Fort Campbell soldier has been found guilty of murder in the 2021 death of his wife.
According to a news release, the conviction occurred during a military court martial trial on Fort Campbell on Tuesday, where Sergeant First Class Joseph Santiago was found guilty of murder Meghan Santiago. He was also guilty of harming their unborn child, as she was pregnant at the time.
He was sentenced to life in prison, with an additional six months for harming the unborn child. He does have the possibility of parole, but was reduced in rank to Private and then dishonorably discharged.
