The National Weather Service in Paducah has issued a flood watch for all of western Kentucky, including Christian, Todd and Trigg counties, through Thursday afternoon.
Showers and thunderstorms may train in the same areas Wednesday through Thursday, and some rainfall could be heavy at times, dropping several inches. In areas where the ground is already saturated, that could lead to flash flooding conditions, especially in the usual low-lying and poor drainage areas.
