Two-vehicle collision in Murray requires driver extrication

A two-vehicle collision occurred at the intersection of North 12th Street and Highway 121 in Murray on Sunday.

The collision happened when 38-year-old James Dicus of Camden, Tennessee reportedly fell asleep while he was driving and collided with 54-year-old Daniel Hubbard of Gallatin, Tennessee.

Hubbard reportedly told officers the collision occurred as he was turning from Highway 121 onto North 12th Street and a vehicle drove through the intersection.

The Murray Police Department responded to the scene and found that Dicus was trapped in his vehicle. The Murray Fire Department and Murray Calloway County Ambulance Service was able to extricate Dicus from his vehicle.

According to the Murray Police Department’s report neither of the drivers suffered injuries.
