School starts August 9, online registration open now

School starts in Christian County in just about a month, and parents and guardians are being reminded to make sure you get your child registered.

Online registration is open and going on the Christian County Public Schools website or through the parent portal, and Spokesperson Johnna Brown says it’s a user-friendly process and walks you through how to get your child registered.

If someone doesn’t have access to a computer or has reliable internet, Brown says they’re welcome to use a computer at the central office on Glass Avenue, or they can go to their child’s school they’ll be attending and get help from staff on how to complete the process.

A big change this year, specifically for middle and high school students, is that there is a zero-tolerance policy concerning vaping and vaping products and Brown says it’s about keeping the health of the students a top priority.

The first day of school for the 23-24 school year is August 9. For more information on how to register your student, go online to the CCPS website.
