The Athletic reports the forward is signing a three-year, 33-million dollar offer sheet from the Dallas Mavericks. Portland has the option to match the offer or let Thybulle depart to the Lone Star state. Thybulle was acquired by the Blazers in a multi-team deal back in February. The 26-year-old averaged 7.4 points and 3.5 rebounds in 22 games with Portland. Thybulle played the majority of his first four seasons with the Philadelphia 76ers.

(Undated) — The Mavericks are agreeing to a sign-and-trade that involves three different teams. According to ESPN, Dallas is acquiring restricted free agent forward Grant Williams, who is finalizing a four-year, 53-million-dollar deal. As part of the trade, the San Antonio Spurs are acquiring forward Reggie Bullock and the right to swap picks with Dallas in 2030. The Boston Celtics are acquiring multiple second-round picks in the deal. The C’s selected Williams with the 22nd pick in the 2019 NBA Draft.

(Milwaukee, WI) — Two-time NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo is recovering from offseason knee surgery. The Milwaukee Bucks superstar forward underwent a cleanup procedure in his left knee and is expected to be ready for the start of training camp in September. Bucks head coach Adrian Griffin said that Antetokounmpo “had a routine surgery on his left knee, and it went great.” The 28-year-old averaged 31.1 points, 11.8 rebounds and 5.7 assists in 63 games last season before the top-seeded Bucks suffered a disappointing first-round exit from the playoffs. His status for the FIBA World Cup is still unknown.

ESPN reports that Las Vegas will be the host of the Semi-Finals and Finals of the NBA’s new in-season tournament. 2023-24 will be the first year of the playoff, which was formalized in the latest collective bargaining agreement last weekend. All teams will participate in group play, with eight clubs moving onto the knockout rounds. The Semi-Finals will be played in Vegas on December 7th, and the Finals take place on December 9th. The rest of the information about the tournament will be revealed this Saturday.
