Friday brings Mid-South Truck and Tractor Pulls to WKSF

The familiar sound of engines will fill the air at the Western Kentucky State Fair Friday night, as the Mid-South Truck and Tractor pulls take over the grandstand arena.

Always a fan favorite, there will be dual-tracks set up to help get through the crowded field of competitors, and Shane Hunt says they’ll have a full line-up for people to enjoy.

He himself takes part in the sport, saying it’s a family tradition—and he took time to describe his engine on the WHOP Early Bird Show Thursday.

The pulls will start at 7 p.m. but before that, rides open at 5 p.m. with Friday being a $20 unlimited ride armband night.  Pedal Pull competitions will be back in front of the convention center at 5 p.m. and then inside of the air-condition convention center will be a corn hole tournament starting at 6 p.m.

Fair Board President Brad Hewell says attendance remains ahead of last years pace, with just around 30,000 taking advantage of the community event so far.
