Thursday is Christian County Farm Bureau Day at the Western Kentucky State Fair and it starts the first night of Tractor Pulls in the grandstand and the fair saw 5,0777 visitors Wednesday, ahead of last year’s pace.
Christian County Farm Bureau members will be able to get into the fair for free until 6 p.m. with a coupon, with gates opening at 4:30 p.m. and President Greg Campbell says they’ll have their annual meeting in the air-conditioned convention center starting at 5 p.m., where they’ll hear speeches from local youth and entertainment by the Todd County Boys Bluegrass and Gospel Band.
Legacy Metals will be giving away prizes on Friday—including the materials for a 24 x 30 x 10 metal building—and Kayla Gellinger with Legacy Metals says there’s still time to register to win at their booth at the fair.
The 4-H and FFA sheep and market goat shows will be in the livestock pavilion, as will the ever-popular petting zoo. Then, pedal pull competitions in front of the convention center around 6 p.m.
Then starting at 7 p.m. in the grandstands, it’s the Farm and Altered Tractor and Truck Pulls—it’s a $20 unlimited rides armband night.
