The Madisonville Police Department investigated a two-vehicle crash on North Main Street from Saturday that sent a woman to the hospital.
According to a news release, the wreck occurred around 4 p.m. when a vehicle driven by 33-year-old Lauren Knight of Hanson was headed south on North Main near Shamrock Drive and another vehicle operated by 76-year-old Shirlie Mitchell of Madisonville was heading north. Mitchell was attempting to turn left onto Shamrock Drive when the two collided.
Mitchell was transported to Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville for non-life-threatening injuries. Knight complained of pain in her foot but was not transported.
