Saturday brings Demolition Derby, pageants and shows to the WKSF

The Western Kentucky State Fair continues Saturday, with a slew of events planned for the second day of the event to goes until July 1.

Everything gets underway at 9 a.m. with the 4-H and FFA swine show in the new livestock pavilion, according to Fair Board Chair Brad Hewell, which is also where the Petting Zoo will be later in the day.

Then the Infant, Baby and Tiny Tot pageants take over the air-conditioned convention center at 10 a.m., 11 a.m. and 12 p.m. respectively. There will be Pedal Pull Competitions in front of convention center starting at 6 p.m. and Saturday will be a $30 unlimited rides armband night.

The Demolition Derby returns to the grandstands kicking off at 7 p.m. and Hewell says that’s an event that always brings in the crowds.

The Miss and Mrs. WKSF will be in the convention center in the evening.
