Hopkinsville Community College is gearing up for their Summer Bridge program, as they look to prepare new students for a college setting.
Coordinator of Career and Transfer Services Kanya Allen appeared on WHOP Tuesday morning and says they’ve hosted the Summer Bridge program for the last three years and they’re proud to offer this free program that starts July 10 and goes through August 3 for students who just graduated high school.
She says they have only 20 spots available so those interested are encouraged to apply now, either online or by giving her office a call.
Those who are selected, and who complete the program, get the full college experience with longtime faculty and staff showing them the ropes, a chance to earn credit hours, a guaranteed $250 textbook scholarship and early access to leadership and opportunities on campus.
