The Hopkinsville Police Department is investigating after a woman was reportedly assaulted Sunday night.
According to the police report, the female victim was assaulted with a dangerous instrument that the report describes as a blunt object on South Campbell Street around midnight.
The incident is being investigated as second-degree assault and no arrests have been made.
