A man wanted for felony theft in Trenton was arrested Saturday morning in Hopkinsville.
An arrest warrant for 25-year old Deviyon Johnson-Griffen of Hopkinsville alleges he went to the United Southern Bank in Trenton on September 22 and cashed a check from Golden Rule Lumber for about $2,000.
Bank officials later learned the check was allegedly forged and Golden Rule management signed an affidavit saying they didn’t authorize the check.
Johnson-Griffen was arrested by Hopkinsville police at a location on Glass Avenue Saturday and served with the warrant for felony theft and criminal possession of a forged instrument.
The Todd County Sheriff’s Office investigated the incident.
