Negotiations continue toward a potential plea deal for one of the suspects charged in connection with a June, 2022 armed home invasion at the residence of Charles ‘Bird Dog’ Paige, but all parties are preparing as if they’re still going to trial.
Attorney David Rye represents 25-year old Michael Sims and asked Judge John Atkins to continue his case until the October 30 trial date for now.
Sims has co-defendants also scheduled for the same trial date and others have already accepted plea deals.
