(Undated)  — The Miami Heat are now one win away from their second trip to the NBA Finals in the last four seasons.  Miami thrashed the Boston Celtics 128-102 in Game Three of the Eastern Conference Finals to take a commanding 3-0 series lead.  Gabe Vincent erupted for 29 points while knocking down six shots from three-point range to lead Miami to the victory.  Boston’s All-NBA duo of Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum combined for 26 points in the loss.  No team in NBA history has come back from an 0-3 deficit in the postseason.  The playoffs continue on Monday night when Nikola Jokic  the Denver Nuggets attempt to complete a four-game sweep of LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers at Crypto-dot-com Arena.

 

>>Golden Knights Two Wins Away From Stanley Cup Finals

 

(Undated)  — The Golden Knights are two wins away from making the Stanley Cup Finals.  The Knights edged the Stars 3-2 in overtime from Las Vegas.  Jonathan Marchessault tied the game with less than three minutes left in regulation and Chandler Stephenson netted the game winner just 70 seconds into OT.  Vegas is up 2-0 in the best of seven series with Game Three taking place in Dallas on Wednesday.  The puck drops in Game Three of the Eastern Conference Finals tonight.  The Hurricanes hope to avoid a 3-0 deficit as they face off against the Panthers in Sunrise.

 

>>Brooks Koepka Wins 2023 PGA Championship

 

(Rochester, NY)  — For the third time in his career, Brooks Koepka is the winner of the PGA Championship.  Koepka became the first LIV golfer to win a tournament after finishing atop the leaderboard at nine under par at Oak Hill Country Club in Rochester.  A pair of players finished tied for second place.  Viktor Hovland and Scottie Scheffler ended the tournament seven under par.

 

>>Kyle Larson Wins NASCAR All-Star Race

 

(North Wilkesboro, NC)  — Kyle Larson is taking home a big cash prize after winning the NASCAR All-Star Race from North Wilkesboro.  The driver of the number-5 car won the 200-lap exhibition race to claim one-million-dollars.  Bubba Wallace, Tyler Reddick, Chase Briscoe and Chase Elliott rounded out the top five finishers.  Josh Berry, who the Open Race earlier in the day, finished 15th.  Fan vote winner Noah Gragson came in 23rd place.  The Cup Series field is back to playing for points next Sunday in the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

 

>>Nashville SC Edge Charlotte In MLS

 

(Charlotte, NC)  — Nashville SC secured three points over the MLS weekend.  The club edged Charlotte 2-1 at Bank of America Stadium.  Hany Mukhtar scored in the 39th minute and converted a penalty deep into stoppage time to earn the win.  Nashville improved to 7-4-and-3 and is second in the Eastern Conference with 25 points.  The club is back in action tomorrow night in the US Open Cup Round of 16.  Nashville SC is on the road kicking off against Inter Miami.

 

>>Gagnon: Derrick Henry Should Be Traded

 

(Nashville, TN)  — The Titans should trade away one of their star players.  That’s according to Brad Gagnon with Bleacher Report, who says a Derrick Henry trade should be Tennessee’s priority.  He says, “Henry a legendary player coming off a the third 1,500-plus-yard season of his career, but he’s also approaching 30 at a fragile position.”  Gagnon says the Titans are far from contenders and have the third-lowest Super Bowl odds at Draft-Kings.  The team begins OTA workouts today.

 

 

>>Reports: Andy Murray Withdraws From French Open

 

(Paris)  — Another prominent name is withdrawing from this year’s French Open.  Multiple reports say Andy Murray will not be competing at Roland Garros as he looks to prepare for Wimbledon.  Murray last competed in the French Open back in 2020 and has only played in the tournament once since 2017.  He’ll join defending champion Rafael Nadal and Nick Kyrgios as notable players who will miss the Grand Slam.  Nadal is currently battling abdomen and leg injuries and will miss the French Open for the first time since 2004.
