An 18-year old woman is dead and a man is in jail after an ATV crash over the weekend in Marshall County.
Deputies tell WPSD TV that the crash happened at the intersection of Gutherie Drive and Boat Werks Drive near Malcom Creek Resort.
The victim, 18-year old Gracie “Ellie” McKnight, was a passenger on the ATV driven by 31-year old Jacob Estes.
Another passenger sustained only minor injuries and authorities say Estes was under the influence of alcohol.
He’s charged with his fifth DUI, second-degree manslaughter, driving on a DUI suspended license and wanton endangerment.
Police tell WPSD that they do not believe Estes and McKnight knew each other prior to riding the ATV together.
