Alcohol is suspected as a factor in a single-vehicle accident on East 14th Street from Tuesday night that sent the driver to the hospital.
Hopkinsville police investigated and determined 29-year old Deseree Davis of Hopkinsville was westbound on East 14th near South Clay Street when her vehicle went off the road and struck a concrete barrier.
She was taken by EMS to Jennie Stuart Medidal Center for non-life-threatening injuries.
Davis was cited into court for DUI and driving without insurance, with the citation saying she had slurred speech, she smelled of alcohol and that she admitted to drinking alcohol prior to getting behind the wheel.
