>>Cardinals Crush Brewers

(St. Louis, MO)  —  The Cardinals pounded the Brewers in an 18-1 rout at Busch Stadium.  The Cardinals scored ten runs in the bottom of the eighth to break the game wide open.  Nolan Gorman went 3-for-5 with a home run and five RBI, and Arenado went deep and drove in four.  Tommy Edman and Andrew Knizner also homered in the victory.  Jack Flaherty picked up the win after striking out ten over seven scoreless innings.  The Cardinals remain in last place in the NL Central at 17-and-25.  Jordan Montgomery starts for St. Louis against Milwaukee tonight.

>>Reds Drop Series Opener To Rockies

(Denver, CO)  —  The Reds dropped their series opener to the Rockies 9-8 from Denver.  Spencer Steer went three-for-five with an RBI as seven different players drove in a run for Cincy.  Matt McClain went one-for-four and scored twice in his major league debut.  The infielder hit .348 with 12 homers in 138 Triple-A at-bats before earning a promotion.  Game two of the three-game series takes place tonight.

>A’s Reach Agreement For New Vegas Site

(Las Vegas, NV)  —  The Oakland Athletics are reaching an agreement on a new site deal in Las Vegas.  The A’s agreed with Bally’s and Gaming And Leisure Properties to build a potential stadium on the Tropicana hotel site.  The new 30-thousand seat stadium will be built on a 35-acre site, replacing the Tropicana which will be torn down.
