Kentucky Agriculture Commissioner and Republican candidate for governor Ryan Quarles made a stop on the campaign trail in Hopkinsville Friday afternoon.
He believes voter turnout will be low and that rural Kentuckians will carry him to the finish line and GOP nomination on Tuesday.
Quarles believes he has the best chance of the 12 Republicans running to defeat Governor Andy Beshear in the fall and says he’ll focus on public safety.
He says he’ll tackle issues in the education system, if elected.
Quarles claims to be the only Republican candidate to have visited all 120 counties while campaigning over the last 14 months.
