Denny Crum public Celebration of Life event announced.

All members of the public are invited to the KFC Yum! Center this upcoming Monday at 6:00 P.M. to help celebrate the life of the legendary former Louisville men’s basketball coach Denny Crum.

Crum died this past Tuesday at the age of 86.

During his career, Crum led the Cardinals to two national titles in 1980 and ’86 and made six Final Four appearances as a head coach.  He was a career 675-and-295 in 30 seasons with Louisville and made the NCAA tournament 23 times.  Crum was recognized for his achievements in 1994 after he was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.

Rather than flowers, Crum’s family is asking that donations can be made instead to the Denny Crum Scholarship Fund  or to your own favorite charity.
