Hopkinsville Mayor J.R. Knight and Christian County Judge-Executive Jerry Gilliam joined the Human Rights Commission in proclaiming May as Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month during a brief ceremony Tuesday morning.
The proclamation was presented to Rachel Fort Farmer of HRC, who says it’s a time to recognize contributions of those populations to our society and encouraged folks to register to attend their gala in July.
