(San Francisco, CA) — The Cardinals gave up four runs in the bottom of the seventh during a 4-0 loss to the San Francisco Giants at Oracle Park. Drew VerHagen gave up a three-run home run to JD Davis in the frame, while Jordan Montgomery was charged with the loss after giving up an unearned run in six innings of work. Brendan Donovan had two hits in the losing effort. The Cardinals are still in fourth-place in the NL Central at 9-and-14. Jake Woodford gets the nod against the Giants tonight.
>Reds Walk Off Against Rangers
(Cincinnati, OH) — The Reds walked off against the Rangers 7-6 in Cincinnati. The game was tied in the bottom of the ninth until TJ Friedl singled home the game winning run. Spencer Steer drove in two runs for Cincinnati, which improved to 8-and-15. Cincy is still last in the NL Central. The Reds continue the series tonight. Luke Weaver gets the start opposite Martin Perez.
