Calm, cool weather likely to continue

A calm and cool weather pattern will remain over western Kentucky for the next couple weeks.

Mike York with the National Weather Service in Paducah said during this week’s conference call that highs will be back in the 60’s for the remainder of the week and lows overnight will be in the 40’s.

Some rain will likely move in Thursday, but heavy rain amounts and severe weather are not expected at this time.

The long-range outlook is looking like next week will be cooler than average with below normal precipitation.

Mid-May is also looking to continue to be cooler than average, according to York.
