73rd WHOP Rotary Radio Auction enters final night

The final day of the 73rd WHOP Rotary Radio Auction is here and it’s been an exciting and successful week.

Rotary presented a $5,000 grant last night to the mentoring group Men2Be and $11,000 to the local Salvation Army for its Kids Camp.

Through five nights, the auction has raised just over $348,000, about $9,000 off last year’s number going into the final evening.

Auction Chair Brandon Killebrew says he’s thankful to the community for supporting another edition of the largest Rotary fundraiser in the world.

Another set of big board items will sell tonight, including tickets to the Kentucky-Alabama football game and lower bowl tickets to see Taylor Swift in Nashville, with bidding on the Bollinger Real Estate and Auction website.

Cash donations are still needed for the Hour and Goat clubs and you can donate at hopkinsvillerotary.com.

Dinner will be served from 5 until 7 p.m. tonight at the War Memorial Building and the auction goes from 6 p.m. until all of the items are sold. You can listen on 98.7 Lite FM, online at lite987whop.com and you can watch on the Rotary Club of Hopkinsville Facebook and YouTube pages.
