>>NFL Teams Asking Cardinals About Third Overall Pick

(Undated)  —  The Arizona Cardinals have the hottest commodity heading into the NFL Draft.  ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports at least six teams have inquired with the Cards about trading up for the third overall pick.  The Panthers and Texans are projected to select quarterbacks with the first and second overall picks.  The Cardinals already have Kyler Murray as their franchise quarterback, which leaves open the possibility for a QB needy team to trade up.  The Titans have been rumored as one of those teams.  Round one of the draft takes place on April 27th.

>>Predators Beat Flames To Keep Playoff Hopes Alive

(Calgary)  —  The Predators edged the Flames 3-2 in a shootout from Calgary to keep their playoff hopes alive.  Down 1-0 in the final round of the shootout, Cody Glass took Nashville’s final chance and scored on a snap shot to force an extra round.  Tommy Novak took his turn and lit the lamp to give Nashville both crucial points. The Predators trail the Jets by three points for the last Wild Card spot in the West.  Nashville will host the Wild on Thursday before closing out the regular season against the Avalanche on Friday.

>>NBA Play-In Tournament Preview

(Undated)  —  The NBA postseason is set to tip off today.  The play-in tournament will begin with the Atlanta Hawks challenging the Miami Heat in South Beach for the East’s seventh seed.  The Heat claimed the Southeast Division crown for the second straight year after finishing the regular season 44-and-38.  Atlanta placed second in the Southeast at 41-and-41.  The winner advances to play the East’s two-seed Boston Celtics in the first round.  Out west, four-time NBA champion LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers play host to the Minnesota Timberwolves at Crypto-dot-com Arena.  LA won nine of its last 11 games to end the year with a 43-and-39 record.  Minnesota will be without starters Rudy Gobert [[ go-BARE ]] due to suspension and Jaden McDaniels due to injury.  The winner of the game will move on to play the West’s two-seed Memphis Grizzlies in the first round.

>Fever Take Aliyah Boston First In WNBA Draft

(Undated)  —  The Fever are taking Aliyah Boston with the first pick in the 2023 WNBA Draft.  The 2022 NCAA champion from South Carolina joins Indiana after a stellar career with the Gamecocks.  The forward averaged 14.1 points and 10.8 rebounds per game while in college.  Boston is the second South Carolina player drafted first overall.  A’ja Wilson was selected with the first pick in the 2018 draft by the Las Vegas Aces.  The Minnesota Lynx took Maryland’s Diamond Miller second overall.  The Dallas Wings then chose Villanova’s Maddy Siegrist with the third pick, their first of three first-round selections.  The Wings then took UConn’s Lou Lopez Senechal fifth and Maryland’s Abby Meyers 11th overall.
