Assault case dismissed in circuit court

The charge of first-degree assault against suspect Chad Love has been dismissed.

It happened in Christian Circuit Court Wednesday afternoon, when Commonwealth’s Attorney Stephanie Bolen informed Judge Andrew Self the Commonwealth was moving to dismiss the case, and also the motion to revoke his probation on a different case.

No reason was given for the dismissal in court, but Judge Self did grant it, along with releasing Love from custody.

Love had been accused of stabbing a female victim in the eye with a broom handle, causing serious physical injury.
