(Cincinnati, OH) — The Reds got crushed by the Cubs 12-5 in Cincinnati. Buck Farmer got charged with the loss after allowing three runs in relief without recording an out. Jason Vosler launched his third homer of the season while TJ Friedl and Stuart Fairchild also went yard. Cincy had its three-game win streak snapped with the loss. The Reds will try to win the series this afternoon. Hunter Greene gets the start while Marcus Stroman takes the mound for Chicago.

(St. Louis, MO) — The Cardinals racked up ten hits but only scored once during a 4-1 loss to the Atlanta Braves at Busch Stadium. All nine hitters in the line-up and a pinch-hitter all had at least one hit, but the Cardinals went two-for-six with runners in scoring position and left seven men on base. Steven Matz was shaky in his first start of the season, surrendering four runs on ten hits in five-and-a-third innings for the loss. The Cardinals have lost their last two games and are now 2-and-3. Miles Mikolas takes the mound for St. Louis this afternoon.
