Adopt-A-Street Program starting in Hopkinsville

Hopkinsville Public Works and the Hopkinsville Beautification Commission are kicking off the Adopt-A-Street program.

According to a news release, the program is part of an ongoing effort to help keep the city streets litter free and more welcoming. Through joint efforts between individuals, community groups, business and local agencies and service clubs, the hope is to make the community a cleaner place to live and work.

The goal is to prevent storm-water pollution, preserve the environment and build a more attractive Hopkinsville.  For those interested in participating, contact the Hopkinsville Beautification Commission by calling 270-890-0703 or go online to the City of Hopkinsville website.
