Christian County native Ashley Stevenson is being promoted to park manager at Lake Barkley State Resort Park.
Stevenson has been at the park the last four years and is being promoted, effective April 1, from her current position as assistant park manager.
There are challenges coming out of the pandemic and after a fire that damaged approximately 60 rooms at the lodge in November of 2021, but Stevenson says she’s confident in the plans they’re putting in place to make the park as vibrant as ever.
Managing the park is much more than just overseeing the lodge and restaurant and Stevenson is excited and honored to have the responsibility.
Prior to going to the park, Stevenson was a community and economic development specialist at the Pennyrile Area Development District.
